Just Being Human

JUST BEING HUMAN

Humanity…..well this is what we really are and it makes us more special just by being human itself. Some people may think that being human is a privilege while others considers it a curse. But whatever people may think, a “human being” is God’s most precious creation, as it was said that we were created out of the creator’s own image. For me I hate to disagree with that. I’m not an “atheist” so sorry Darwin whoever you are. This is not only about what is humanity but what every human individual wants and how to live his/her “Life” dealing with a lot of obstacles as we go on with our lives.

“I’m only human, we were born to make mistakes”. As some people always says although its true being human doesn’t mean that we are completely “Perfect” but the good thing about us is that we tend to pick ourselves up or with the help of another person, we can remain strong or weak depending on how we deal with certain situations that affects us in the process. Maybe because of our naturally born imperfections gives us more meaning of our mere existence.

We have to stop blaming ourselves and saying we’re only human as a scapegoat looking for unending reasons just to accept failure. We can be weak but at the same time strong depending on how you accept the fact that there is still a chance for “Change” if Change is necessary for you to be successful and be contented for what you already have. I think maybe its just human nature to be greedy but we don’t have to stick with that idea forever because it would be pointless if we did. A sense of self appreciation may help lift you up a bit, that’s what I’ve been doing. Sometimes in the midst of working late or just finishing some deadline, it really helps that after you’ve finished and acknowledging that…hey… I did it…I finished it…appreciating for yourself that you’ve just accomplished something tends to exude a feeling of self appreciation which can be positively healthy by the way.

For some people, just being human is already rewarding enough for we can feel Love, Hatred, Happiness, Sadness, Anger, Compassion for others and a whole lot of things that makes us so different from all of God’s creations. And on top of all that is maybe we have the Heart and the Spirit within us that makes us Special, would you agree??? When a person gets frustrated by you, and tells you to get a Life!!! Does he mean that you go out and seek a job and work for a living or what he’s really trying to say is don’t waste your time and life and because you are special for being human as you are, you have to go out there and make things happen for you and not to wait for things to happen by itself.

We have to be contended for what we have and make good use of it instead of wasting time doing nothing, but when you really want more from what you already have then its possibly best for a person to work and strive for it. I didn’t say that we should be contented and just sit there and do nothing, that’s not what I meant. Improving oneself or ones way of Life is not being greedy, so don’t get me wrong. I’m just emphasizing my point that as human as we are “Improvement” is one of our best character yet. When a person has accomplished something, gets promoted or for the simple reason that got what he desired…and still strives higher until he’s contented then stops…..well there you have it, the ending point is still “Self Contentment”.

When someone asks you, what kind of Life do really want??? Some people would answer whatever that makes me happy, that’s the “Life” I want to live. I’d say we can “choose to be happy or choose to be sad”. Its our choice what kind of Life are we’re gonna live but the question is still, how can we accomplish that??? Its easier said than done but we still have to to make a choice first before we step on the pedal. So after making a decision, we must move on to strive for what we want.

A person must take action that can help him get what he wants but in the end…sometimes he fails, maybe because he’s going the wrong way and was just wasting time and effort. So the best thing to do is carefully think about and plan what you’re gonna do first before jumping on the saddle. Take your time and don’t rush things too much but not too slow either, if you know what I mean.
